Hello! My name is Fayçal Hafnaoui. I am a screenwriter and director residing in Brussels. Although I am originally from this city, I had the chance to be trained at a very young age in the performing arts at the Tring Park School for the Performing Arts in the United Kingdom, before continuing my actor training at the New York Film Academy.
Having started as an actor in New York, I was able to work on several projects: plays, music videos, improvisations.
After a personal journey, several years of travel, I returned to settle in Brussels to fully invest myself in the profession of filmmaking. I started by writing scripts, first short then long. Then, I began directing my scripts.
Currently, I am seeking funding for a short film I developed, titled ‘Echo’. It is a contemporary adaptation of the myth of Narcissus – a thriller whose central theme is the difference between ego and self. In the long term, my ambition is to make a feature-length fiction film, and I strive every day to create the conditions to achieve this goal. “Where there is a will, there is a way.”

Salut ! Moi, c’est Fayçal Hafnaoui. Je suis scénariste et réalisateur résidant à Bruxelles. Bien qu’originaire de cette ville, j’ai eu la chance d’être formé très jeune aux arts scéniques à la Tring Park School for the Performing Arts au Royaume-Uni, avant de poursuivre ma formation de comédien à la New York Film Academy.
Ayant débuté comme acteur à New York, j’ai pu travailler sur plusieurs projets : pièces, clips musicaux, improvisations.
Après un cheminement personnel, et plusieurs années de voyages, je suis revenu m’installer à Bruxelles pour m’investir pleinement dans le métier de cinéaste.
Actuellement, je recherche des financements pour un court métrage que j’ai développé, intitulé ‘Echo’. Il s’agit d’une adaptation contemporaine du mythe de Narcisse . À long terme, mon ambition est de réaliser un long-métrage de fiction, et je m’efforce jour après jour de réunir les conditions pour accomplir cet objectif. « Where there is a will, there is a way. »
